Hey how ‘bout these cool temperatures! Yea! Fall has finally fallen in South Texas! This is the weather for fresh popcorn and hot chocolate!
Always keeping it “fresh” (well that’s a given, but you catch my drift….. Papa Dean’s has launched a new twist to each bag or tin of our popcorn. Yep, you guessed it! We are now including a “Kernel of Wisdom” inside each container. We now have gathered literally thousands of them – with all sorts of themes. Now each time you get some popcorn, somewhere inside will be a little surprise. Sometimes they are just plain silly; often they will be inspiring; and some will be lyrics to our favorite songs; or still yet, favorite movie quotes. We are having a blast with this new venture and the feedback is already coming in! Oh and of course, we have kid-friendly “Kernels” for their birthday pocket popcorn favors……. Our Halloween “Kernels” were a blast! My personal favorites are from our great Texas singers/song writers like Patricia Vonne and Robert Earl Keen; so you’ll probably see a lot of those!
So hurry, eat it fast because the further down you dig the quicker you will find your “Kernel of Wisdom.” Okay, I know what you’re thinking… not ALL of them would actually be considered any sort of WISDOM…. But “hay” we had to call it something clever! Keep digging!

Trick or Treat at Sunset Ridge
It was a “poppin” fun October and we’re pleased to report that our Sunset Ridge Trick or Treat event on Oct 26 was a HIT! We had about 350 little ones, all dressed in “character” come thru Papa Dean’s shop looking for our famous orange and black vanilla flavored popcorn! Each child was given a little packet of Halloween POP for their goodie bags, along with a smile.
TEE-SHIRTS have arrived !
Our “Popcorn Makes You Popular” tee shirts are in the shop and are now available for $14.95 per Tee! The girls & Women’s shirts are the pink Ringer style. And boys and men’s are grey with red lettering and are the traditional style.

We are very privileged that he took us on, as he’s very picky, and we are buckled down, holdin’ on to the reigns for dear life. Papa Dean’s is about to buck like a big ole’ saddle bronc!
